Medieval samurai of Kai. A branch of the Takeda clan. It began when Yoshitake, the son of Takeda Nobutake, the Kai governor during the Nanboku-cho period, based his domain in Anayama, Koma County, and took the name Anayama. Takeda Nobusuke, who succeeded the Anayama clan in 1418 (Oei 25), advanced into Kawachi, replacing the Nanbu clan. During the reign of Nobutomo (1504-60), he moved his residence from Nanbu to Shimoyama, and established control over the entire Kawachi territory. Next, Nobutomo (Baisetsu), lord of Ejiri Castle in Suruga, also held sway over the whole of Ihara County, and wielded great influence as a relative of the Takeda clan. His son Katsuchiyo died at the age of 16 in 1587 (Tensho 15), and the family line came to an end. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
