A highland resort in the center of the Malaysian peninsula. There are three towns at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,500 meters, and hotels, golf courses, and hiking trails through the jungle are available. The name comes from a British surveyor from the colonial era, and it was once a summer resort for the British. It is about an hour's drive from Tapah, a town south of Ipoh. In addition to tourism, it is known for producing tea and highland vegetables, and high-quality leafy vegetables are shipped to Singapore. In recent years, the leisurely summer resort of Genting Highlands has appeared near Kuala Lumpur, but the town remains popular as a healthy and quiet resort.
