They include the highest peak in the Kinki region, Mount Hatsuken (1915m, also called Mount Butsukegatake or Mount Hatsukeigatake), as well as other peaks from the north such as Mount Daitenjogatake (1439m), Mount Sanjogatake, Mount Daifugen (1780m), Mount Misen (1895m), Mount Shakagatake (1800m), and Mount Dainichi (1593m), and are also called the Yamato Alps. The geology of the mountain range is distributed by quartz trachyte called Omine acid rocks, which penetrate the Paleozoic strata in the northern part and the Mesozoic strata in the central and southern parts. There is a flower field on the summit, and the view from the summit is magnificent. …
