Son of Ki no Otome (Ushi). Father of Ki no Iimaro. In 705, he was appointed as the cavalry commander to welcome Kim Juki, the tribute envoy from Silla (Korea). Later, he was promoted to the rank of Junior Fifth Rank and Shikibu Taifu (Minister of State). There are two Chinese poems in "Kaifuso". He is said to have died at the age of 59.
