A town in Hashima County, Gifu Prefecture, bordering the south of Gifu City. Located in the Nobi Plain north of the Kiso River, it produces rice and vegetables. Automobile-related companies have been expanding into the area, and the population is growing rapidly due to residential development. Area: 7.91 km2 . Population: 23,804 (2010).
