Law No. 165 of 1952. This law primarily regulates the operations of the Japan Meteorological Agency. It aims to promote the sound development of meteorological services by establishing a basic system for them, thereby contributing to the prevention of disasters, ensuring traffic safety, promoting industrial prosperity and other public welfare, as well as international cooperation in meteorological services. It was promulgated on June 2, 1952, and came into effect on December 1 of the same year. 昭和27年法律165号。おもに気象庁の業務を規定する法律。気象業務に関する基本的制度を定めることによって,気象業務の健全な発達をはかり,もって災害の予防,交通の安全の確保,産業の興隆等公共の福祉の増進に寄与するとともに,気象業務に関する国際的協力を行なう。1952年6月2日公布,同年12月1日施行。天気予報に関係する事項だけでなく,地震,火山,海洋,地磁気などに関する業務も規定する。
