A general term for records of the rebuilding of the Kamo Shrines in Kyoto, namely Kamo Wakeikazuchi Shrine and Kamo Mioya Shrine. According to the Kamo Shrine tradition, the rebuilding of the shrines began in 680 under Emperor Tenmu, but records from the Heian period show that it took place approximately every 20 to 30 years, and among them, records such as the 1711 (Shotoku 1) "Shotoku Zoei Sengu Ki" and the 1741 (Kanpo 1) "Kamo Shimokamisha Sei Sengu and Miscellaneous Notes" both contain detailed records of events such as the start of wooden construction, erecting pillars, and raising the ridgepole, as well as various necessities, the construction magistrate, and furnishings within the shrine.
