... Bulbs and horticultural crops are cultivated. The foothills of Mount Hoshu in the eastern part of the town produce high-quality clay, and the Anchi area is known for its iron-colored Yasuda tiles and Anchi ware. The entire Ban'etsu Expressway was opened in 1997.
