Technological development is a general term for organized efforts to acquire technology that can be used in human life and industry. The process involves clarifying the image of a product or manufacturing method that will create new utility (invention) while identifying the needs and constraints of economic society based on scientific laws and phenomena, giving form to the invention, and putting it to practical use so that it can be accepted by the economic society (application, development).

Technological developments lead to technological advances. When technological advances are introduced into an economy, they affect each sector of the economy.
