漢方薬に用いる生薬(しょうやく)の一つ。スイカズラ科スイカズラの花を乾燥したもの。解熱、解毒、殺菌作用などがある。化膿(かのう)症、炎症などに効く托裏消毒飲(たくりしょうどくいん)や、かつて梅毒などに用いられた香川解毒剤などに含まれる。
