Hazu [town] - Hazu

Japanese: 幡豆[町] - はず

A former town in Hazu District facing Mikawa Bay in the southern part of Aichi Prefecture. The Hazu mountain range blocks northwest winds, making it warm, and mandarin orange cultivation is thriving here. The coast is rich in bays, and it is part of the Mikawa Bay Quasi-National Park. There are many tourist spots, such as Mt. Sangan, and the Meitetsu Gamagori Line runs through it. In April 2011, it was incorporated into Nishio City along with Isshiki Town and Kira Town in Hazu District. ^{26.05 km2} . Population: 12,365 (2010).

愛知県南部，三河湾に臨む幡豆郡の旧町。幡豆山塊が北西風をさえぎり温暖なためミカン栽培が盛ん。海岸は湾入に富み，三河湾国定公園に属し，三ヶ根(さんがね)山など観光地が多く，名鉄蒲郡(がまごおり)線が通じる。2011年４月幡豆郡一色町，吉良町と西尾市へ編入。26.05km²。１万2365人（2010）。
