This mountain is on the border between Nichinan Town in the southwestern tip of Tottori Prefecture and Shobara City in the northeastern part of Hiroshima Prefecture. It is 1,271 meters above sea level. It is made of granite, and remnants of iron sand mining can be seen scattered on the mountainside. The terrain is a high flat surface called "Noro" in the Chugoku Mountains, and the Hiroshima side is particularly wide, and is used as a pasture for Japanese beef cattle. In early spring, you can enjoy picking bracken. In addition, the large colonies of Japanese deutzia that bloom during the rice planting season and Renge Tsutsuji that cover the entire mountain in June are beautiful. In winter, it becomes a ski resort and there is a JR Yama no Ie station. It belongs to Hiba-Dogo-Taishaku Quasi-National Park.
