Japanese: 霧降滝 - きりふりのたき

Located in northwest Tochigi Prefecture, the Itana River, a tributary of the Kinu River, falls over a cliff of quartz porphyry. The name of the area comes from the fact that the water breaks and falls like mist. The waterfall is divided into two tiers, the Upper Falls 25m and the Lower Falls 26m, with a total length of 75m. There is an observation deck and a path leading down to the basin. This is one of the famous waterfalls in Nikko National Park. The fresh greenery and autumn leaves in the surrounding area are beautiful.

栃木県北西部，鬼怒川の支流の板穴川が石英斑岩の岩壁にかかる滝。滝水が砕けて霧のように落ちることが地名の由来。2段に分れ，上滝 25m，下滝 26m，全長 75m。観瀑台があり，滝壺へ降りる道もある。日光国立公園の名瀑の一つ。付近の新緑と紅葉は美しい。
