〘noun〙① The affairs of a department such as a public office. ※Local Public Service Law (1950), Article 12 "The Secretary-General shall be in charge of the affairs of the Secretariat under the direction and supervision of the Personnel Committee." ② The person in charge of the Geki ( Geki-no-sho) in the Daijokan ( Great Council of State), who also held the position of Shonagon Bureau. From the mid-Heian period onwards, the position was hereditary for the Nakahara and Kiyohara clans. ※Shokuharasho (1340), Vol. 1 "The head of the Geki-no-sho, this is the second office ."
