Iron club

Golf clubs with metal heads are used to hit the ball to the desired spot. Nine clubs are generally used: seven clubs numbered 3 through 9 according to the angle of the hitting surface, plus a pitching wedge and a sand wedge. As the number increases, the hitting angle increases and the distance decreases. Official rules limit the number of clubs to 14, so a combination of these nine clubs, four woods, and one putter is usually used. There are also iron clubs, number 1 and number 2, which are used according to preference.
