… Along with morimono (arranged flowers), it was supported by literati who loved seclusion. The Enshu school of flower arrangement, which places importance on the three elements of curve, rhythm, and time, is particularly known for its flowing and beautiful curves in its flower arrangements. Its beautiful line composition was introduced overseas from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period, and had a major influence on flower arrangements.
