Mitsufumi - Atebuumi

Japanese:
Mitsufumi - Atebuumi
Also called an addressee-koi-jo (fulfilling letter of intent). From ancient times to the early modern period, this was a document issued by the person who provided land or a position. In samurai society, kudashi-bumi, hanmono, sho-shita, inbanjo, etc. were often used. Many documents have the words "fulfilling letter of intent" at the beginning or within the body of the document, but it is not uncommon to find words such as "may be fully informed," "may have knowledge of the matter," or "no problem with knowledge of the matter." Sometimes such words are missing. An example of a full text from the Heian period: 〈To line Iechi Yamabataji Zaamidainouchi Shishi (Gitodani, Ginsaioji, Ginnan Keiraku Nakagaki, Ginhokumine) From the hall to the north, transfer to the north, Hidee Ryo, Usuben Iechi Yijomadokoro no Kyo, Sho Haruno addressed to the priest, the first day of November, Kasho 2 (1107), Daiboshi (Kao) (Heian Ibun, 1680).
