Also called stratified lichens or allostratified lichens. Lichens in which the algae (gonidia) that make up the body of the lichen are distributed in a certain layer within the mycelium. Examples include Parmelioides nigricans, Parmelioides sibirica, and Litmus spp. In contrast, lichens in which the gonidia are uniformly scattered within the medulla are called homostratified lichens. 有層地衣,別層地衣ともいう。地衣類の体を構成している藻類 (ゴニジア) が菌糸体の内部に一定の層状分布をしているものをいう。例としては,ウメノキゴケ,カブトゴケ,リトマスゴケなどがある。これに対して,ゴニジアが髄層内に一様に散在するものを同層地衣という。
