Japanese: 丘陵帯 - きゅうりょうたい
Hilly area - Kyuuryoutai

It is one of the vertical distribution zones; in Europe it refers to the summer green forest zone or the lower half of the zone dominated by warm-blossomed oaks, but in Japan it often refers to the vegetation zone dominated by chestnut, oak, and carpinus.
