"Akegarasu no Chi no Masayume" - Akegarasu no Chi no Masayume

...The story is based on the double suicide of Inosuke and Miyoshi (Yoshino) in July 1769 (Meiwa 6). Fuji Shorochu published a sequel to the story, Nochi no Masayume, in 1857 (Ansei 4). (The original story was the human interest novel Akegarasu no Masayume, co-written by Tamenaga Shunsui and Takitei Rijyo.) In the sequel, the two escape to Jigenji Temple in Fukagawa, where Tokijiro's uncle is the chief priest, and commit double suicide by tying themselves against a willow branch in the temple's cemetery....
