Gandashu - Gandashu

...The representative works of the former are the Hymns of Krishna by Baru Caṇḍīdās, and the lyric poems of Chondidas and Bidyāpati. After the religious reforms of Chaitanya in the first half of the 16th century, this school of lyric literature reached its heyday, and in the second half of the 16th century it produced such outstanding poets as Gobinddas and Gyandas. Kṛṣṇadās's The Immortal Life of Choitonna, a biography of Choitonna, is also a masterpiece of this period.
