Born September 10, 1917. Entered Takushoku University in 1935 and won the university and technical college division of the Meiji Jingu Tournament. Won the national tournament five times both before and after the war, and remained undefeated until his retirement in 1950. It was said that "there was no Kimura before Kimura, and no Kimura after Kimura." After failing to form a professional judo team, he turned to professional wrestling in 1951. He faced Rikidozan in 1954 and lost. Later became a professor at Takushoku University. Died April 18, 1993. Age 75. Born in Kumamoto Prefecture.
