…Reefs such as Hashikuiiwa (Hashikuiiwa), which stands at the tip of a cape, are examples of land that originally protruded and was transformed into isolated rocks by marine erosion. In some cases, rock towers on rocky shorelines have their bases hollowed out by waves, turning them into mushroom rocks. In desert regions, mushroom rocks can also be formed by wind erosion, which stirs up and wears away sand and gravel. Small holes can be found clustered together in a honeycomb pattern on the surface of cliffs, raised wave-cut platforms, or rocks on rocky shorelines in general.
