… The Stamm, a unit of the migratory group, can be divided into three groups. The first group was the East Germanic tribes who lived in the eastern part of Germania before the migration, the second group was the West Germanic tribes who lived in the western part of Germania, and the third group was the North Germanic tribes who lived in Scandinavia and Jutland. The East Germanic tribes include the East Goths, West Goths, Vandals, Burgunds, and Langobards. The West Germanic tribes include the Franks, Saxony, Friesen, Alamannen, Bavaria, and Thuringians. The North Germanic tribes include the Danes, Sweden, and Norway.
