Emission line spectrum
A spectrum is a spectrum made up of many nearly pure monochromatic light lines. It is produced by the emission of gaseous atoms in an arc discharge, glow discharge, spark discharge, flame light, etc., and can be used to investigate the energy levels of electrons in atoms and ions.
