Tatsuya Kishida

Japanese: 岸田辰弥 - きしだたつや

1892-1944 A playwright and director from the Taisho to early Showa periods.
Born September 30, 1892. The fifth son of Kishida Ginkou. The younger brother of Kishida Ryusei. In 1914, he joined the Imperial Theater Opera Company and became an opera singer. In 1914, he moved to the Takarazuka Revue. He toured Europe and America, and after returning to Japan in 1927, he produced and released "Mon Paris," which became a huge hit as Japan's first full-scale revue. He passed away on October 16, 1944. He was 53 years old. He was from Tokyo. He graduated from Gyosei Junior High School.

明治25年9月30日生まれ。岸田吟香(ぎんこう)の5男。岸田劉生(りゅうせい)の弟。大正3年帝劇歌劇部にはいりオペラ歌手となる。8年宝塚少女歌劇に転じる。欧米を視察し,帰国後の昭和2年「モン・パリ」を制作・発表,日本初の本格的レビューとして大ヒットさせた。昭和19年10月16日死去。53歳。東京出身。暁星中学卒。
