Explosive forming

It is an explosive forming method. In the separated method, the die, workpiece, and explosive are placed in a fixed arrangement under water. In free forming without a die, the depth of drawing is adjusted by adjusting the explosive, distance, and pressure applied to the blank ends. The method using a female die (die forming) is fairly common. It is possible to process heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloys that are almost impossible to process using conventional methods. The detonation velocity of explosives ranges from 2000 to 8500 meters per second, and explosives in the upper part of this range are usually used in explosive forming.

爆発加工法の一つ。分離法ではダイス、被加工材、爆薬は一定の配置で水中に置かれる。ダイスを用いない自由成形では爆薬、距離およびブランク端押さえ圧力を調整して絞る深さを調整する。雌型ダイスを使う方法（ダイス成形）はかなり一般的である。普通の方法ではほとんど加工が困難とされていた耐熱耐食性の合金材の加工が可能である。爆薬の爆発速度は2000～8500メートル／秒の範囲であるが、爆発成形ではこの範囲の上部の爆薬を用いるのが普通である。
