(From the trifoliate orange trees planted around it) This is a villa of Higashi Honganji Temple in Higashi Tamamizu-cho, Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City. In 1641 , Tokugawa Iemitsu gave this land to Higashi Honganji Temple, and Ishikawa Jozan built the pond. It is a typical example of a shoin-style stroll garden. Shosei-en Garden. East Hall.
