Institutional guarantee

A guarantee made by a corporation whose main business is guaranteeing the debts of others. Guarantee agencies include public guarantee agencies established by law, such as the Agricultural Credit Fund Association and the Credit Guarantee Association, as well as private guarantee agencies whose main source of revenue is income from guarantee fees.
