Japanese: 崎ヶ鼻遺跡 - さきがはないせき

A Jomon archaeological site in a sea cave in Komakui, Moriyama, Mihonoseki Town, Yatsuka District, Shimane Prefecture. It is also called Sarugahana Site. It is located on a small cape west of Nakae Seto, which connects Lake Nakaumi on the southern side of the Shimane Peninsula with the Sea of Japan. The largest and northernmost (Cave No. 1) is 60m deep, 5m wide, and 4-5m high, and there are four smaller caves to the south, all of which have yielded Jomon period artifacts except for the southernmost cave, which contains seawater. The main artifact-bearing layer is located at the entrance to the northernmost cave and in front of it, and consists of five or more layers. Most of the artifacts are from the Late Jomon period, but artifacts from the Early and Middle Jomon periods have also been excavated.

島根県八束郡美保関町森山字駒喰の海食洞窟にある縄文遺跡。サルヶ鼻遺跡ともいう。島根半島の南側の中海と日本海をつなぐ中江の瀬戸西方の小岬に位置し，最も北にある最大のもの(第1洞窟)は，奥行き60m，幅5m，高さ4～5mで，これに並んで南に四つの小洞窟があり，そのうち海水の入る最南の洞窟のほかは，すべて縄文時代遺物を出土する。おもな遺物包含層は，北端の洞窟入口部とその前面にあり，五つ以上の層をなし，縄文後期を中心とし縄文前期･中期の遺物も出土する。
