Geometrical text - Kikagakumon
Abstract patterns that combine straight lines and curves. They are often used in parallel lines, lattices, checkered patterns, broken swastikas, diamond patterns, wavy patterns, spiral patterns, and linked rings. They developed during the Neolithic period, in contrast to the depictive designs of the Paleolithic period.

直線,曲線を組み合わせた抽象的文様。直線による併行文,格子,市松模様,卍(まんじ)崩し,菱文(りょうもん),曲線による波状文,渦巻文,輪つなぎなど多い。旧石器時代の描写的な図柄に対して,新石器時代にはいってから発達した。
