Ganryu

Japanese: 巌流
Ganryu
One of the legendary schools of swordsmanship. It is said to have been founded in the early Edo period by Sasaki Kojiro of Echizen Province, who studied the Tomita school. It has not been passed down to modern times, so details are unknown. It is known for techniques and anecdotes such as the Tsubame Gaeshi sword and the duel with Miyamoto Musashi on Ganryu Island.
