Pseudo-high-floor storehouses (for storing furniture and clothing) can be found in various places, including the koya (storehouse) of Tsushima, the kanmongura (storehouse for storing objects) of the Kumamoto Plain, and the storehouse of Hida Shirakawa-go. There are two types of high-floor storehouses: those with separate structures for the base pillars and the floor, and those with a through-column structure in which the base pillars penetrate the floor and support the beams....
