…After Schoenberg's death in 1951, he became interested in the twelve-tone technique (twelve-tone music) invented by Schoenberg, and studied Webern's works in particular. He composed ballets such as "Agon" and "Movements" and instrumental music using the twelve-tone technique to perfection. In his final years, Stravinsky's musical style was to use the twelve-tone technique to process Christian themes, and he produced a succession of masterpieces of religious music, including the choral works "Canticum Saculum," "Sermons, Discourses, Prayers," "Requiem Canticles," and "Abraham and Isaac" for narrator and chamber orchestra. He came to Japan in September 1959 to conduct his own works, and at the same time, he highly praised Japanese composers such as Toru Takemitsu, inspiring the Japanese composition world. …
