The rock blocks created by freeze-fracturing develop a variety of block landforms. On gentle slopes, the rock blocks cannot move and cover the ground surface, forming a block field. On slopes, various types of landforms develop, including sliding blocks, where individual rock blocks slide slowly, debris slopes, where a large amount of debris creeps as a whole and covers the slope, blockstreams, which are flows of rock blocks that accumulate in depressions and flow down, and rock glaciers with ice bodies inside.
