...This is a bowl-shaped depression about 1,200 m in diameter and 190 m deep. Although it is not clear, the topography on Earth that is thought to be the result of a meteorite crater (such as a fossil crater) is called an astroblem (Figure 3). According to statistical studies, meteorites capable of creating a crater with a diameter of 1 km strike the Earth once every 1,400 years.
