...It is known as a tourist base for the Ajanta and Ellora caves. Bibi-ka-makbara, located in the northern outskirts of the town, was built in 1679 by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb (reigned 1658-1707) as a mausoleum for his queen, modelled on the Taj Mahal. On the southern side of the hill to the north of the mausoleum, there are two groups of Buddhist cave temples, each with five caves, some distance apart.
