Law No. 54 of 1910. One of the current laws related to customs in Japan. Other laws of this type include the Customs Act (Law No. 61 of 1954) and the Temporary Tariff Measures Act (Law No. 36 of 1960). The Fixed Tariff Act is a substantive provision for imposing customs duties, and in addition to determining the tax base and tax rate, it also clarifies the legal basis for benefit tariffs, retaliatory tariffs, emergency tariffs, tariff quota systems, and import prohibitions. The tax rates are set for all imported goods classified according to the Brussels Tariff Classification and are listed in its appendix.

明治 43年法律 54号。日本の関税に関する現行の法律の一つ。この種の法律では，ほかに関税法 (昭和 29年法律 61号) ，関税暫定措置法 (昭和 35年法律 36号) がある。定率法は関税を課するための実体規定であって，課税標準，税率などを定めるほか，便益関税，報復関税，緊急関税，関税割当て制度，輸入禁制品などの法的な根拠を明らかにしている。なお税率はブリュッセル関税品目分類法によって分類したすべての輸入品について定められ，その別表に掲げられている。
