Japanese: 福山[町] - ふくやま

A former town in Aira County in the central-eastern part of Kagoshima Prefecture. A fault cliff is close to Kagoshima Bay, and the Shirasu plateau behind it is unproductive. Rice vinegar brewing has been popular since ancient times. Mandarin orange cultivation, livestock farming, and yellowtail farming are also carried out. In November 2005, the town merged with Kokubu City, Aira County's Mizobe Town, Yokokawa Town, Makizono Town, Kirishima Town, and Hayato Town to become a city, Kirishima City. ^{68.52 km2} . 7,171 people (2003).

鹿児島県中東部，姶良(あいら)郡の旧町。鹿児島湾に断層崖が迫り，背後のシラス台地は生産性が低い。古くから米酢の醸造が盛ん。ミカン栽培，畜産，ハマチの養殖も行われる。2005年11月，国分市，姶良郡溝辺町，横川町，牧園町，霧島町，隼人町と合併し市制，霧島市となる。68.52km²。7171人（2003）。
