[Born] 1819 [Died] 1896 A calligrapher from the Qing Dynasty in China. His pen name was Kenzan, and his pen names included Yonzai, Bakuou, and Chihong Zansou. He was from Guian (Zhejiang Province). He was the governor of Songjiang Prefecture in Jiangsu Province. He was well versed in Han slavery, and studied ceremonial inscriptions in particular, and pioneered a new style of calligraphy in the Northern Stele School of the Qing Dynasty.
