Dry spinning - Kanshikiboushi

A type of solution spinning. A fiber-forming polymeric material dissolved in a suitable solvent is ejected from a spinneret, the solvent is evaporated, and a solidified fiber is obtained. It is commonly used for spinning acetate, but is also used for acrylic, poly(vinyl alcohol), poly(vinyl chloride), and other systems. The spinning speed is fairly fast, at several hundred m min ^-1 . The cross section of the yarn is often dumbbell-shaped or cocoon-shaped. In dry spinning, the efficiency of solvent recovery is extremely important.

溶液紡糸の一つ．適当な溶媒に溶解した繊維形成高分子材料を紡糸口金から射出し，溶媒を蒸発させ，凝固した繊維を得る紡糸方法．アセテートの紡糸に通常用いられ，その他アクリル系，ポリ(ビニルアルコール)系，ポリ(塩化ビニル)系などにも用いられる．紡糸速度はかなり速く，数百 m min^－1 である．糸の断面は亜鈴形や，まゆ形になることが多い．乾式紡糸では溶剤の回収効率がきわめて重要となる．
