Merenptah

...The treaty temporarily stabilized the external situation, and the king's energy was directed to great building projects at home (such as the Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak and the Abu Simbel temple). King Merenptah, in alliance with the Libyans, defeated the Sea Peoples (Sicilians, Sardinians, Achaeans, Lycians, and Tyrrhenians) who had invaded the western delta, and resettled the captured peoples in Egypt as mercenaries. The Hebrew Exodus may have been an event that occurred during the king's later years.
