(1) General treatment of fractures The principle of treatment is to restore bone continuity and normalize function, and reduction, fixation, and follow-up treatment are performed to achieve this. Although non-surgical treatment (treatment that involves cutting the skin and causing bleeding is called operative treatment, non-surgical treatment refers to treatment that does not involve bleeding) is the original method of fracture treatment, reduction may be performed manually or by traction depending on systemic and local conditions, or in some cases surgical reduction may be performed. Fixation is performed using a cast or splint, and in the case of open reduction, various metal fixation materials, such as plates, screws, Kirschner wire, and intramedullary nails, are used.

　(1)骨折一般の治療　治療の原則は骨の連続性を回復し，機能を正常化することで，そのために整復･固定･後療法が行われる。非観血的治療(皮膚を切開するなどして出血をみるような治療を観血的治療というが，非観血的治療とは出血を伴わない治療をいう)が骨折治療の本来のものではあるが，全身的ならびに局所的諸条件によって徒手や牽引による整復がなされたり，場合によっては手術的に整復が行われる。固定にはギプスや副子固定が行われ，観血的整復の場合には金属製の各種の固定材料，すなわちプレート，ねじ，キルシュナー鋼線，髄内釘などが用いられる。…
