Taungs

…Taungs, also called Taungs, is a place in South Africa, but it is known worldwide as the name of the ruins in the limestone area nearby where the first ape-man fossils were discovered. The ape-man fossil from Taung is the skull of an infant, often called the Taung Baby, and is sometimes simply called Taung.
