Indirect photography - photofluorography

A method of reducing and photographing the X-ray image projected onto a fluorescent plate using a normal optical camera. Rolled film is used, and the size of each sheet varies from 60mm x 60mm, 70mm x 70mm, and 100mm x 100mm. For economical reasons and simplicity, this method is mainly used for mass screening. It has disadvantages such as image distortion, low sharpness, and high radiation exposure, but in recent years, with the advent of high-resolution fluorescent intensifiers, the image quality of indirect X-ray images has improved significantly, and it is often used not only for chest but also for stomach mass screening.

ケイ光板上に投影されたX線像を，普通の光学カメラで縮小して撮影する方法。フィルムは巻フィルムが使用され，1枚の大きさは 60mm× 60mm，70mm× 70mm，100mm× 100mmなどがある。経済的な理由や簡便さから，おもに集団検診に利用されている。像がゆがむ，鮮鋭度が低い，被曝量が多いなどの欠点があるが，近年は高解像度ケイ光増倍管の出現によって，間接X線像の画質も非常によくなっており，胸部だけでなく胃の集団検診にもしばしば利用されている。
