Aikawa Local Museum

Japanese: 相川郷土博物館 - あいかわきょうどはくぶつかん

This is a history museum in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture. It was founded in 1956 and opened on the former site of the Sado Branch Office of the Imperial Household Ministry's Imperial Property Bureau's Mining Office. It collects, preserves and exhibits materials related to the Sado Gold Mine and the Tenryo. It also houses a memorial hall for Sado-born politician Arita Hachiro, a document library and a skills tradition exhibition hall.
