"The Tale of the Kan'ei Famine"

...1 volume. Other names include "The Tale of Fukusai," "The Tale of the Mouse," and "The Tale of the Kan'ei Famine." When a doctor named Fukusai attended a wake at the Inaba temple, the twelve Yakushi gods were discussing the famine that had occurred throughout the country from 1635 to 1647. Yakushi then appeared and explained that the famine was caused by human arrogance, and concluded that people should take steps to avoid being hated by the way of heaven.
