…When Fushimi Castle was built, craftsmen came from Harima and Kawachi, and their techniques improved. At the same time, tile making also began, and continued into the early modern period. During the Shotoku era (1711-16), as many as 150 houses were engaged in pottery production, and it is known from the Kyoto Imperial Government Office's General Memorandum that they also made tiles and Fushimi dolls, and the name of the town of Kawaramachi remains to this day. In addition, the Kamo River and Nanase River that flow through Fukakusa-go were under the control of Daigo Sanboin Temple, as can be seen from the Daigoji Documents (application dated September 20, 1364). …

…伏見築城に際し，播磨･河内から技術者が入来してその技術も進歩すると同時に，瓦作りも行われるようになり近世期まで継続した。正徳年間(1711‐16)には150軒もの家が土器生産に従事しており，このほか瓦，伏見人形も作っていたことが《京都御役所向大概覚書》によって知られ，瓦町の町名は今も残っている。このほか深草郷内を流れる鴨川，七瀬川は，醍醐三宝院の支配であったことが《醍醐寺文書》(貞治3年(1364)9月20日付請文)によってわかる。…
