Order: Parrotfish, Family: Pycnonotidae. Total length: 30 cm. An extinct species native to North America. The face is orange, the back of the head, cheeks, and throat are yellow, and the back, chest, abdomen, and tail are green. The tail is long. They once lived in large numbers in the deciduous forests of North America, but their numbers rapidly decreased due to hunting and deforestation, and by the beginning of the 20th century, they were no longer found in the wild. In 1918, the last bird, which was kept at a zoo in Ohio, USA, died, and they became extinct.
