[Kaldo process]
A method of producing high-quality steel with low phosphorus and nitrogen content by using high-phosphorus pig iron. The LD converter is tilted, and a water-cooled oxygen lance is inserted into the furnace at a position close to the side blowing, just a little below the throat, and the furnace body is rotated circumferentially at about 5 to 30 times per minute while oxygen is blown into the furnace for refining.
